We’re proud to have represented Robert Mullen, who served as the named plaintiff in our case against Chaac Pizza Midwest, LLC — an Ohio-based Pizza Hut franchisee. The matter settled in 2024. It was a pleasure working with Robert, and we’re thankful for clients like him who stand up for their fellow drivers.

About Robert:

Favorite Pizza Toppings: Mushrooms

Favorite Movie: Rio Lobo

Go-To Karaoke Song: Heartbreak Hotel

Hidden Talent: I used to be able to dunk a basketball on a regulation rim

Favorite thing about working as a delivery driver: It’s less stressful than my full-time job.

A Quote from Robert: “Be careful she shot me.” – From the movie 1966 Western, El Dorado

We were thrilled to speak with Robert for an interview to hear his story firsthand. Here it is:

Biller & Kimble: How did you start working as a delivery driver?

RM: By complete accident – My wife ordered a personal pan pizza, and I went to pick it up for her. Pizza Hut was hiring and I applied and was hired within a couple of days.

BK: What was your favorite delivery driver job or city?

RM: Harrison, OH.

BK: How did you learn you might not be reimbursed enough for your vehicle costs?

RM: When I started working as a delivery driver, I was only receiving $.25 per mile.

BK: What advice do you have for other drivers?

RM: Read your paperwork and don’t settle for less than $.67 per mile.
