On June 21, 2022, a pizza delivery driver at a Pizza Hut in Bloomington, MN filed a class action lawsuit against his employer Ayvaz Pizza, LLC and former employer Muy Pizza-Tejas, LLC, for unpaid wages. This lawsuit is named Stotesbery v. Muy Pizza Tejas, LLC.

The plaintiff seeks to represent all Ayvaz Pizza and Muy Pizza-Tejas delivery drivers in federal court. The plaintiff alleges that Ayvaz and Muy-Pizza Tejas broke the law by underpaying its delivery drivers as a result of failing to properly reimburse the drivers for their automobile expenses.

Specifically, plaintiff argues that the drivers should have been reimbursed for their vehicle expenses at the IRS standard business mileage rate, which is currently $.625 per mile.

Defendant, Ayvaz Pizza operates approximately 352 Pizza Huts across the United States. These 352 stores were allegedly purchased from Muy-Pizza Tejas, the prior owner and operator of the Pizza Hut stores, sometime in 2021.

If you are a delivery driver who has worked at this or any other pizza company around the country, contact our firm to find out if you might be owed unreimbursed expenses.
