Delivery Driver sues New River Valley Domino’s franchise for alleged unpaid vehicle expenses

On January 5, 2024, a pizza delivery driver at a Domino’s in Roanoke, Virginia filed a class action lawsuit against her employer New River Valley Pizza, LLC, this lawsuit is named Paris v. New River Valley Pizza, LLC.

The plaintiff seeks to represent all New River Valley Pizza delivery drivers in federal court. The plaintiff claims that the company broke the law by underpaying its delivery drivers as a result of failing to properly reimburse its delivery drivers for their automobile expenses.

Specifically, plaintiff argues that the drivers should have been reimbursed for their vehicle expenses at the IRS standard business mileage rate, which is currently $.67 per mile.

The complaint alleges that Defendant operate at least seventeen Domino’s Pizza restaurants in Southwest Virginia and surrounding areas.
